Welcome to CartZA - the student-focused food ordering platform that allows you to order meals in advance for pickup or delivery. By using our app, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.


1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, placing an order, or accessing any part of CartZA, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy.


2. Eligibility

CartZA is intended for students and authorized users aged 18 years or older. By using the app, you confirm that you meet these requirements.


3. Account Registration

You must:

  • Provide accurate and complete information

  • Keep your login credentials secure

  • Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account

You are responsible for all activity under your account.


4. Services Offered

CartZA allows you to:

  • Pre-order meals from participating vendors for pickup or delivery

  • Schedule pickups within specific time slots

  • Request deliveries to a valid location within our service area

Delivery availability may vary based on location, vendor, or time of day.


5. Orders & Payments

  • All orders are subject to vendor availability and confirmation.

  • Prices shown include applicable taxes but may exclude delivery or service fees.

  • Payment is processed securely via third-party providers. CartZA does not store payment card details.

Once an order is confirmed, it cannot be canceled unless explicitly allowed by the vendor.


6. Delivery & Pickup

Pickup:
Be on time to collect your order. Vendors may discard unclaimed meals after a reasonable holding period, and refunds may not be issued for late collection.

Delivery:
You agree to provide a complete, accurate, and accessible delivery address when placing an order.

  • If the delivery address provided is incorrect, incomplete, or results in additional time, distance, or effort required by the delivery partner, the following will apply:
    • The delivery partner may contact you to obtain the correct location.
    • You will be required to pay a revised delivery fee equal to double (2×) the original delivery fee charged at checkout.
      • Example: If the original delivery fee was R15, the total delivery fee becomes R30.
    • The additional amount (equal to the original delivery fee) must be paid before the order is successfully completed.
  • If you are unreachable or fail to provide a corrected location within a reasonable time, the order may be marked as undeliverable, and no refund will be issued.

CartZA reserves the right to enforce this policy to ensure fair compensation for delivery partners and maintain efficient service operations.


7. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Misuse the platform or interfere with its functionality

  • Harass or abuse vendors, delivery drivers, or support staff

  • Use false information or impersonate others

Violation of these rules may lead to suspension or termination of your account.


8. Vendor Responsibility

CartZA partners with third-party vendors who are solely responsible for:

  • Preparing your food

  • Ensuring food safety and hygiene

  • Honoring menu prices and promotions

We do not guarantee the quality, quantity, or accuracy of food items.


9. Limitation of Liability

CartZA is provided “as is.” We are not liable for:

  • Delays in service

  • Vendor errors or delivery issues

  • Damages resulting from your use (or inability to use) the app

Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the affected order.


10. Intellectual Property

All content on CartZA (logos, designs, code, text) is owned by or licensed to us. You may not use or reproduce any part of the app without permission.


11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated terms.


12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Insert country or region, e.g., South Africa]. Disputes will be resolved in accordance with local legal procedures.
